D23 Banquet Program Photos Needed!

d23For all of you who have won a year-end award in D23, there’s a new process for getting your photos to the district for the banquet program – and since we didn’t have a photographer at the events this year, if you don’t send a photo in…you just won’t have a photo in the program.

ARMCA is going to be collecting photos on their forums…which is an easy place for people to post their photos, and also make a quick statement like thanking their sponsors.  And then, because it’s on the internet, it’ll automatically be a showcase of all our best riders!

There’s an instructional post on the ARMCA forums, so go and check that out…and get those photos posted!

One week left to sign up for Hill Drags!

Sept. 12th is the deadline to get pre-registered for the Hill Drags event on the 17th at Indianhead M/C in Red Wing, MN – which is quite possibly the most fun and entertaining to watch hillclimb event all year!

As always, the drags are pre-registration only – and this year the registration is all being done online.  So head on over to the Indianhead M/C website and get signed up right now!

IMC bannerThere’s also a semi-pro climb the following day, the 18th.  You can also pre-register for the semi-pro climb on the IMC website, but there will also be an opportunity to sign up that morning as well.  Up to 2 riders are allowed per bike in the semi-pro climb, which also allows alcohol fuel and paddle tires as per the AMA semi-pro (AA Hillclimb) rules.  We will intend to provide at least 3 rides per class too!

Both events have all-cash payback.  So don’t miss out – get signed up today!

Quick note – VSMC

FYI, Monday the 5th of Sept. has been chosen as the rain date for the Valley Springs M/C event scheduled for the 4th – as you may remember, the event was unfortunately rained out last year.

Which reminds me…if you plan on attending events at VSMC, you should probably sign up for their free Rained Out text messaging service…so you automatically get a text message if the event is called off for any reason.  It’s free.  Sign up via the Rained Out link on the VSMC Events page.

For that matter, you should do the same thing for Indianhead M/C – and Pleasure Riders M/C.
