Re: 2016 Nationals

I've got a little work to do to put together all the information for "complete" results - like, including the riders' city, state, and bike brand...but the basic results have been posted on the Pleasure Riders M/C website. http://www.PleasureRiders.net Aside from Jason Laven, we do wish a ...

Re: 2016 Nationals

We're all winners  Nathan Prebe cleaned up like nobody's business...including setting fast time, winning King of the Hill, and getting the AMA Hillclimber of the Year award. Junior Jackson got the AMA Senior Hillclimber of the year award, and Lane Brookshaw got the AMA Youth Hillclimber of the ...

Re: 2016 Nationals

Was just at the hill, making final preperations...despite lots of rain in IL over the past few days, it was actually a bit dusty... And then maybe 3 hours ago, the skies opened up for about 15 minutes or so...just long enough to get everything good and wet, which actually is probably pretty perfect ...

Video from Thunder Ridge - site of the 2016 AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship

There was a videographer on hand at the shake-down event at Thunder Ridge earlier this month, getting footage from the ground as well as with a drone, and he's thrown together this quick video...click the link to check it out! https://youtu.be/TuepP7o1JBY Oh...and there's now about 3 days left to ge...

Re: new rules?

If you have had an AMA pro license, you have to wait a year after it expires before you can compete in an amateur national championship. After a year has passed, you're basically an amateur again.

Re: new rules?

OK, I'm really baffled at how there was any possibility of any confusion about this coming up at all, granted how clear and obvious the noted rule in the rulebook is - however, the AMA has now posted a bulletin about the issue that's been posted at the bottom of their page about the 2016 AMA Hillcli...

Re: new rules?

Whether AMA pro license holders are being "allowed" to compete in other amateur national championships isn't the issue - the issue is that there's an iron-clad rule in the rulebook that prohibits it. And it's so simple that it can't be misunderstood. It is truly laid out in black & whi...

Re: new rules?

...and here we have the age-old problem...well, one of the age-old problems, with the AMA - different answers to the same question, in direct contradiction to what the rulebook says. Explain to me how what you were just told is in compliance with this rule, which as noted above has been in the AMA r...

Re: new rules?

Getting different answers to the same question from the AMA is a long-standing problem. Granted the clarity of the rule in the AMA rulebook, one wonders if those people you talked to have actually read the rulebook themselves? It's been a long time, and I don't know if he's in charge anymore, but I ...
