The Hill was modified by the Eagle Ridge motorcycle club, making a small ridge about 15 foot from the starting line and 5 feet from the top was dug out making a wall which looked very timorous.

In the 50 class Wyatt Kovanik went the highest of 57 feet for first place followed by Kyle Snobeck with 56 ft. Nathan Lorenz only 29 ft.

 In the 65 cc class was won by Marcus Koester with a climb of 111 ft. Dylan O’ Neil was just a foot behind with 110 ft.  Again this class was very close in footage. Logan Peterson couldn’t quite make that much footage, but got 84ft.

The 80 class was won by Chad Jelinek who went 160’; Dylan Nichols was one foot short at 159 ft. for second. Brad Pesek was third at 153 foot.

The 125 class was won by Matt Forester with 7.436, charging right behind him was a favorite Jacob Prebe with a time of 7.527. Very good talented riders were in perfect form this weekend. Third was Chad Jelinek.

 200 class Zach Degross was flying high with a time of 6.402. Again Jacob Prebe trying to get a first, but fell short with 6.648. Third was Dylan Nichols with a 6.925.

 With 125 riders in 250 class, Jay Sallstrom from Minnesota had a dazzling 5.768 ride. Second place was all most a half second slower with a 6.287 was Arnold Jelinek. By the time this story comes out Arnie will have had a new son. Closes to Arnies time was 6.337 layed down by Cody Mclean from Wyoming.

 In the 450 class Jared Gitter had 5.68 for first, followed by Harry Exner at 5.69, just by 1000th of a second.            

In 600 class Harold Waddell got his second win with a fine ride of 5.429. Coming on strong was Jay Sallstrom with 5.640, Kurt Koester followed in third with a time of 5.864 even with the bad tumble on his exhibition ride, one tough guy.

Nate Redman headed the 750 class with a nice ride of 5.689.    Second place was Chad Koopsma with a 5.912, even with the almost cut off finger he got unloading his bikes the day before.

Half time Exhibition Class where anything goes, paddles, chains and etc., had 21 riders which were all invitation only and had to qualify from last years climb. Each rider had one run. Only three riders made it over. Arnie Jelinek charged the hill and went over with a nice ride of  5.976. Chris Justice  from Billings was the second rider over the rough hill with a time of 7.581. Kurt Koester was flying high when his front wheel planted in a hole  three quarters of the way up the hill and bruising his sternum all over again and rolling back down the hill. The only other rider over was Harold Waddell’s ride which had the crowd in aah as he flew up to the top with a rear wheel stand not knowing if he was going to fall back or save it. Harold drop the front wheel and finished going over with the fastest time of 5.753.  All three went home with some money.

Powder Puff class seemed to be tough going for the girl’s first round, not one made it over. Jessica Prebe took a shot at the tough hill leaving her bike near the top and flipping over first round. Second rides turned out much better with just about all the girls going over. Ashley Johnson who now lives in Nebraska, but was a home town favorite took first with a 6.818. Sixteen year old Danielle Gorder took second with a very nice ride of 8.565.

In the open class first couple of riders jumped the timing lights. So they had to return for another ride. Harold Waddell had a very fast time and was hard to beat. Kurt Koester had a bit of trouble an had to settle with 2^nd. Chad Koopsma rounded out the top three.

Senior class for 40 years and over was Greg Dahl for first second was Mike Gorder and third was Dave Miller.

Top ten fastest riders competed for fast time run off. Harold Waddell took top honors on his Thor, EVS, Works connection backed Suzuki with 5.113 Bring his winning streak to four top places. Chad Koopsma took nice second at 5.503

All in all everyone had a good time again this year. The riders would like to thank Mike & Teri Gorder for the use of their land and the nice roast beef dinner that another Teri made for all the riders, hill crew, and club members. Don’t miss the 10^th annual hill climb next year.
