The mid season District 17 hillclimb point leaders were announced by Flying Bobby Fisher at the Pleasure Riders hillclimb on September 2, and each was given a hat with that achievement recognized. Bud Northrup, the District 17 Hillclimb Director awarded the hats. Matt Peters, 'Fast Andy' Fortner and 'Wild Wade' Schultz each received two hats, as they were leading in two classes at midseason.
