Young Shane Green was just plain unbeatable at the Pleasure Riders hill climb, claiming a perfect night with three class wins and the Fast Time of the night.  His first win came in the 250cc class where he soared over the top of the 155 foot, 3-stage hill in 4.767 seconds on his YZ250 to take the class win, overtaking Blake Cappello who had set the first round best time at 5.475 seconds on his KX250.  Mike Popham also slipped under Cappello with a 5.329 second round ride on his Yamaha to claim second place.

Green’s second win came in the 450cc class where he had to come from behind again for the win. Scott Pearson took the first round lead with a good 5.324 second run on his CRF450, just two thousandths of a second ahead of Green and his KTM380.  In the second round, however, Green flew over the top in 4.724 seconds to take the class win. Popham once again moved into second place with a 5.230 second time on his YZ450F Yamaha.

Popham still managed to come out a winner as he took the 600cc 4-Stroke class win on his Yamaha with a good 5.059 second round ride, overtaking Scott Pearson for the win.

Green’s third win came in the always fast 600cc class, and this time he wasted no time asserting himself as he blazed over the top on his KX500 in a blistering 4.638 seconds to take the class lead and set the Fast Time of the night.  He sailed over in 4.804 seconds on his second ride, giving him the top four times of the night.  There were only 6 sub-5 second rides all night, and Green had four of them.  ‘Crazy Jake’ Tackitt was his closest challenger in the 600cc class (and Fast Time) with a 4.947 second time on his CR500 Honda.  Justin Trent, also on a Honda, claimed third place in the 600cc and carded the sixth 4 second run with a 4.983 second effort.

Paul Hillard enjoyed a double win evening on his Kawasaki 2-stroke triples.  Riding his 750cc bike, his first round 5.673 second ride held up for the win, with the Senn brothers, Chris and Bobby, coming in second and third on their Yamaha twins.  In Open Class action, Hillard rode his 800cc triple to a come from behind win.  After crashing at 110 feet on his first ride (looked kinda painful to me), he topped the hill in the second round in 5.430 seconds to take the win.  Harley riders Cody Jenner and R.D. Miller III took second and third.

In Youth class action, Dylan Brady took the 85cc Senior Mini class win, and the Youth Fast Time award, with a second round 6.067 second ride.  He had to overtake Joe, ‘Jammin’ Joe’, McGurer who had taken the first round lead with a 6.309 second run on his KX85 after Brady had crashed his Honda.  McGurer had a good second round ride also, but his 6.224 second effort came up short of the class win and Youth Fast Time.  Joe did enjoy one class win, however, taking the 125cc class win with a 5.779 second run on his KX125, with brothers Matt and Chad Altfillisch coming in the next two spots.

In other youth action, Dakota ‘D.J. Watson was the only 50cc rider to top the hill with Reece Hutton second.  Logan Moody claimed the 65cc class win with Cole Garriott second while Brett Kalaher was the best of the 85cc Junior Mini riders with Logan Moody second.
