Eric Wheelwright made the long trip from Elizabeth, Il to Cayuga, Indiana and made it worthwhile as he grabbed two class wins and the Fast Time award at the Pleasure Riders hill climb.  He got his first win in the always fast 600cc class, where his first round 4.2950 second run on the 155 foot hill would have been good for the class win and Fast Time..  He took a second ride, however, and carded an even better 4.255 second run on his hot Honda. Justin Trent and Tom Brown claimed the next two spots on their Hondas.

            Wheelwright’s second win came in the next class. Riding hisCRF450 Honda, he sailed over the top in 4.496 seconds, again a time which would have won the class.  On his second run he flew high and far over the top in a sizzling 4.330 seconds to seal the class win – and carded the top 3 times of the day.  Scott Lisk and Kurt Krohmer claimed second and third.

            Wheelwright’s perfect day was ruined by Neoga’s Matt Peters, who sailed his KTM380 over in 4.4830 seconds on his first ride to claim the 450cc class win.  Wheelwright was close behind, but had to settle for second place with a 4.598 second run on his Honda thumper.  John Michael Gocken carded a 4.630 second time on Shane Greens KTM380.

            Jeremy James was the fastest of the Youth Class riders, turning anice.5.588 second time on his KX85 to claim the 85cc Senior Mini Class win, and the Youth Fast Time award.  Kolt Kinsler thrilled the crowd by topping the hill on his tiny 50cc KTM  not once, but twice, to win the 50cc class – his best time being 6.930 seconds. Logan Moody took the 65cc class win with a 6.278 second time and Matt Kinkin was the 85cc Junior Mini winner with a run of 6.291 seconds.

            Nick Isotov was the only other double class winner as he brought his big Harley down from Chicago and claimed wins in both the Open and Open Pushrod classes.  Jim Mahan stretch his 2006 unbeaten streak in the 4-Stroke class to three in a row with a good 5.291 second time while Wad Garriott claimed the 2-Stroke Quad win with a slightly quicker 5.221 second run.
